Evaluating MLB prospects for your fantasy team can provide a significant competitive advantage by identifying high-upside talent for waiver wire pickups or draft day steals. Monitoring prospects allows managers to anticipate midseason call-ups and replace underperforming veterans with rookie prospects who may be able to offer immediate impact to your fantasy baseball team.

Any player with fewer than 130 MLB at-bats, fewer than 50 MLB innings pitched and fewer than 45 days on the pre-September MLB rosters qualifies as a rookie prospect.
